Walker: Conditional independence is an absurd concept

Prishtina- Kosovo-
Zëri reports on the creation of the “Alliance for a New Kosovo”, an organisation made
up of former US diplomats and politicians. At the presentation of the organisation,
Ambassador William Walker was quoted as saying that conditional independence is
an absurd concept and doesn’t constitute a final solution of the status. “I think
conditional independence is a wrong approach toward status, because we are talking
about final status and not conditional independence,” he added.

Walker also said that the Alliance for a New Kosovo was set as a new initiative aimed
at moving things forward in Kosovo.
Epoka e Re says the Alliance supports the independence of Kosovo, “as the best
solution for both Kosovo and the region.” F.F
