Russian liaison office in Prishtina: Serbs should participate in Kosovo Institutions

A disastrous mistake

Express covers yesterday’s meeting between the head of the Russian liaison office
in Pristina, Sergey Bazdnikin, and the leader of the Serb List for Kosovo, Oliver
Ivanovic. Bazdnikin has called on Kosovo Serbs to participate in the local
institutions, adding that this would be the best way to protect and promote the
interests and rights of the Kosovo Serb community.

According to the paper, Ivanovic said he hopes Belgrade has realised that the
boycott of institutions has been a huge mistake. Ivanovic, the paper notes, has
announced the return to the institutions but he again seeks the support of Belgrade.
Express also says that Bazdnikin has stated that Russia supports the latest
statement by the Contact Group.
